The thoughts of our SuperYacht Group Great Barrier Reef, like all Australians, are with the bushfire-impacted communities, those who have lost their lives, lost family members and friends, or their homes and livelihoods. Unfortunately we have seen some inaccurate stories shared about the bushfires in Australia, so to reassure you that the vast majority of Australia is not impacted by bushfires and is Open for Business, operating as usual, please visit the Australia.com link, showing the last remaining impacted areas (this is updated daily).
In true Australian spirit, we are all doing our best now to play our part by utilising the goods and services of those businesses in regional communities impacted by the fires.
Premiere for Queensland – Annastacia Palaszczuk MP says, “There are large parts of our beautiful country that are not affected, for example, in my home state of Queensland, that is twice the size of Texas, we have no threatening fires. Queensland has more than 4,000 miles of beautiful coastline, tropical islands and, of course, the Great Barrier Reef.”
We strongly urge superyachts not to cancel their plans to come to Australia, and encourage you to continue to your incredible Australian experience of a lifetime. Should you have any further concerns, please seek the most up-to-date information from your superyacht agent.
We invite you to share the word that Australia is OPEN FOR BUSINESS by posting your images and/or short clips of your experience from around the country. To assist in Australia’s bushfire recovery, please use hashtag #seeAustralia
Now more than ever Australia needs you.
